Hello, and welcome to my blog. I am a former pastor of 30 years, an author, a social entrepreneur, a saltwater enthusiast and a nut job DIYer. In my blog I cover some key areas of life that I care about such as: Faith, Prosperity, Purpose, Leadership, Culture, Politics, Economics, Fishing, Sailing, My Favorite Recipes and My Crazy DIY Projects. Pretty much, Life. I throw in other stuff too, but these are my major themes.
My mission is to help you get to the next level of your faith, prosperity, purpose, leadership and living life well.
I am the President of Pinon Hills Ministries in Farmington, New Mexico. We are blessed to serve in the Four Corners region of the U.S. and God has given us a vision to impact our region and the world through:
- Southwest Academies
- The Browning Ranch Equine Center
- Pinon Hills Village Senior Community
- People Prosper International
I am the founder of People Prosper International, which leads people out of poverty by teaching them how to create their own prosperity and to fund their highest God-given purposes.
My wife is Greg Lanee Morgan and she and I have been married for thirty-four years. She has a photography business and she specializes in the art of amazing portraits. You can see her work at gregmphotography.com. We have five children. Our oldest daughter is married. Our next son and daughter are engineer graduates who are working in oil and gas. Our next son is an engineering student. And our youngest daughter is in high school.
We also have a small real estate rental business. We buy bargain properties that need to be rehabbed and we fix them up and provide clean, safe, affordable housing.
I mountain bike for exercise and I go saltwater fishing for fun. My new recreational pursuit is to get my sailing licenses so we can rent sailboats and have a blast on the sea with family and friends.
I have written a book called How to Discover Your Personal Life Mission and one called Horsepower: How Leadership Works. I have a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University and an M.Div. from Denver Seminary. I am also an Alumnus of Dallas Seminary.
Please join my blog, share my posts on your social media sites and chime in when you have a comment. I would like to hear your ideas. In the future I plan to expand my site to include videos and resources to improve your life in the areas of faith, prosperity, purpose and leadership. Blessings to you.

Holey Cow, John you were hard for me to find!!! I finished my PLM and in the back of the book you suggested going to your site and leaving our PLM there. Thank you for writing that book, it has been a very helpful tool on my journey to continue to narrow in my my life purpose focus. The end chapter about failure and “the idiot” were exceptionally supportive and revelational to me. As you can surmise from my PLM, my path has been quite interesting and I have become very intentional in the last several years regarding my time and energy.
Glad to see you living out you PLM as I read your description!
Glad to see that you are a fellow writer on WordPress!
Many Continued Blessings to you in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Sincerely,
Julia
PLM:
I write, speak, perform my music and do retreats with Christians who have fallen or failed and who want freedom from their captivity. I will model and teach ‘ true identity in Christ’ to the glory God for His will and purpose for each life that He allows me to connect with.
